It runs in a browser and delivers a customised music stream that evolves with the atmosphere — effortlessly. SOIVA Studio is a radio-grade automation system for running internet radio, FM radio or corporate radio, starting from €250/month. We also offer the SOIVA Royalty Free library for royalty-free background music, as well as tailored solutions for retail chains and other larger-scale installations.

SOIVA’s music library is broad and diverse. Its core consists of 70,000 hand-curated tracks selected for active playback. In addition to the most obvious Finnish and international hits, the library includes music from various subculture genres, as well as smaller and more local bands and artists.

Yes. SOIVA is a fully Finnish operator. We operate from the Nekala district of Tampere and provide customer support in Finnish via WhatsApp. SOIVA’s technology and music library are built on over 20 years of DjOnline heritage — the same platform was used to run Radio Helsinki and Radio Classic for several years.

At the core of SOIVA is its unique metadata model. From our music library, 70,000 tracks have been curated for active use. Each track has been manually rated across more than 20 dimensions and over 100 sub-genres on a scale of 1–5. This enables the generation of dynamic playlists — a single playlist can contain over 1,500 tracks, so the music never starts repeating itself. The atmosphere evolves automatically according to the time of day and day of the week. Tracks play at consistent volume and transitions are smooth. SOIVA is also a fully Finnish service: Finnish-language support, over 20 years of experience in background music, and references ranging from Radio Helsinki to nationwide retail chains.

Yes, and we leverage this systematically. SOIVA’s atmospheres are designed using research on how music affects purchasing behaviour. Music tempo, genre and other characteristics influence customer purchasing behaviour and dwell time. SOIVA’s dynamic scheduling takes advantage of this automatically, evolving the atmosphere throughout the day. From a staff perspective, extensive and varied playlists reduce the irritation caused by repetition and improve workplace satisfaction, which translates into lower staff turnover. All of these have clear cost implications.

Yes. We can utilise the same or different playlists across locations and manage them remotely in a centralised manner. Our user management system allows multiple people to manage different parts of the system as needed. SOIVA’s dynamic playlists are built parametrically using our metadata model: you select the desired genres, moods, tempo, language and other dimensions, and the system automatically generates a playlist that can contain over 1,500 tracks. Playlists update themselves as new tracks are added to the library. Different atmospheres can be scheduled to different times of day on a weekly calendar with hourly precision, and the combination playlist feature lets you mix up to 5 different lists by percentage (for example “80% normal atmosphere + 20% Christmas music”). We build the playlists that suit your needs.

SOIVA is designed specifically for atmosphere management. We use intelligent automation to build dynamic playlists that match your venue’s mood: a calm morning atmosphere can transition into a more energetic lunchtime feel and a more intimate evening vibe. The atmosphere changes automatically according to a weekly calendar, with hourly precision. For special occasions, there is a combination playlist feature: for example, you can mix Christmas music into your regular atmosphere at your chosen percentage (say “20% Christmas music”) without having to change the entire playlist.
